Hi All,
Took the mini to shakespeare on Sun and did the first couple of runs with the NOS installed. Only on the rear at the moment and 25hp jets but seems to have made about 2-3 tenths improvement even with the small shot, looking forward to upping it more for next time

That looks like a proper fucking handfull!
Getting there though, well into the 12s now.
What tyres was that on?
50bhp is the sweet spot for an XE, it REALLY starts pulling on that normally. _________________ Under 400bhp makes baby jesus cry.

That was on 888's, 60ft was crap compared to what I was doing last year so there's prob an easy 12.5 in it at the moment.
Will be running the same jets next time but try and get a good 60ft to see what it can do with just the 25 but will take the 50hp jets along in case I feel the need
Been looking at some auto boxes from the US but not sure if there's space for them yet, looking at the 4T45E ones as they appear to be a virtual straight fit to the XE. |

Yeah I was looking at those as well, look like a very good option, you could even use one on the rear engine and keep the front manual so that you can put it in neutral to drive with one engine on the road if you wanted. _________________ Under 400bhp makes baby jesus cry.

Thinking of importing a whole car over from the US (prob a chevy cobalt one with 3.63 Final Drive and that one seems the most common final drive) that uses that 4T45E box as it would make it easier to work out the hydraulic\electric requirements for it rather than just get a box shipped over and then try and work it all out.
Just need to get some dimensions first, been trying to find some dimensions on the web and no luck yet was thinking of signing up to some US forums to try and get some info from people who already have those boxes in use.
Other major benefit is the ratio's on that box are brilliant for the small 13" wheels, would give me theoretical max of 190mph at 6500rpm compared to only 150mph at 7500rpm with the F20 (would need to have 650bhp to manage that though ). |

| It's a tool called BS4TV that I have been testing for somebody, it uses the data collected from the G-Tech RR's Accelerometer and creates a bluescreen overlay which is then chromakeyed over the video (I delete the built in G-Tech 1/4 times data though as it's usually off by a couple of 1/10's compared to the actual strip timing which I manually enter off the slip). |
