Just thinking about bike and from now on looks like its going to get expensive and i think im kind of loosing track of why i started building my bike and it use , but must say run down that Strip is feking addictive , well where bike is now I think it hold its own for what it is , was never built to be an R1 or an SSB and i still think with proper set up on nitrous to fine tune it is all in all a cool bike and a vast improvment on what yamaha had in mind
But to take bike any further , I need a new Dyna2000 ignition £250 , new barnet full cluch conversion and plates/spring £ 250 , Probley a billet clutch basket £300 ( altho my oem one may should good upto 250bhp) and nitrous or Air shifter No idea as cost seam to be from oki to feking outrageous , fuel pump, reg , cut offs ect and other bits for nitrous
But bike is my passion lol i remmber when i ist got it and i was only going to change Zorst :-) would you like to see list so far oki if anybody dose ill post it in a reply
Feking nitrous seams not only to be fueling my bike but a passion in my soul , but not only money which i have very little of and my refusal to allow anyone near my bike but me kind of means not a lot of help and a lot of stress but on plus side , its a great feeling when against all odd it finally comes togeter
Still hope to get to race bike once more this year or at very least a few sundays playing on bike
Respect to all

If that's for the retard feature then I'd just modify a spare crank trigger if I were you and switch it over when you intend to use a big dose on the race track.

Whose told you that's required and why????

Our unique nitrous shifter would be approx £300 but also includes adjustable electronic kill unit, so you could sell off your existing one.
fuel pump, reg , cut offs ect and other bits for nitrous
If Brad sends me his used pump (as promised), we can keep that price down for you.

Imagine how I felt almost 30 years ago when the nitrous bug got me.

well clutch conversion billet clucth Andy told me and seam that when they get sort of around 300 bhp mark they destroy them selves , altho with my mini max and soft progresive system the nitrous is much kinder to my clutch than a single hit system or a 300bhp tuned motor
As for ignition was told im geting close to its limits now but it a bit uncertain just how much further i can go , and as the dyna has the adjust retard as well sort of made sence to factor that in altho im not a fan of dyna 2000s on an xjr
if i could work out how to mark the base plate for 2degress 4 degrees retard ect would be a simple task to elongate mounting holes
Right now im on OEM plates , which will need replacing soon anyway but they just £65 from EBC , and instead of 1 diphram spring in run 2 one ontop of other means for a heavy clutch leaver but no slip at all yet not even at 200bhp only cost me £10 for spring :-) , and iv always run bike on semi synth oil which also my clutch likes , def dont like the fully synth stuff _________________ XXDRAC™ WON 75 kit :-) 10.94 @ 132mph on an XJR1300 :-) |

Exactly why I don't believe you'll need to run to that, as I doubt you'll be able to handle 300 bhp on your style of bike!!!

Since you've replaced the coils with Dyna, I doubt the ignition itself will be a limiting factor and the ONLY reason I'd take that route is if I wanted the convenience of adjustable retard.
if i could work out how to mark the base plate for 2degress 4 degrees retard ect would be a simple task to elongate mounting holes
You don't need to know the 'exact' degrees, just add some marks approx. 1mm apart and that would do it.

I'd expect the plates to be all you'd need.

Thanks 1mm apart i can do :-) , cluch plates i have to do soon any way
and was not intending to run my bike at 300bhp just i like to air on side of caution , lol that kind of power and i would need velcro on me gloves arse and feet not to mention all the other things i have to deal with on a bike like mine
But 1st on list apart from clutch is to sort shifter out so i can build from line and then maybe fit WOT switch rather than using the horn button as im still not using what i have to its fullest potential , from 2nd up is Much much better with mini max than when it was a single shot from 3rd , so from 1st should be better _________________ XXDRAC™ WON 75 kit :-) 10.94 @ 132mph on an XJR1300 :-) |

LOL was just looking at my timing slips again from Pod oki im sad LOL , but one thing i just noticed My terminal speed across line was 132 MPH and my bike tops out about 145 or used too , thats quite a speed to get shopping trolly upto in just a 1/4 mile
So the reason i first wanted to fit my kit and areas of the power band i wanted to improve for road use , Have now been exceeded
Did a bit of checking on a few other XJRs its a bit hard to balance all data
But standard XJRs are about 12.1 over 1/4 best i know off
stage 3 dyno jet kit ect Acro Race 4-1 system 11.4 over 1/4
My bike just biger jets in carbs and still a twin pipe set up 11.5 1/4 NO GAS
Stage 3 jeted xjr, full ported flowed head , flat side carbs , acro , Very small front sprocket ect ect (lots of money spent) 11.15 Over 1/4
My bike on gas 10.9 over 1/4 AND most def the fastest terminal speed and im still learning to ride it :-)
See that still makes me grin LOL
Now when i get to kick nitrous in from 1st i have a feeling i may not be too far off a 10.5 over 1/4 that really is some gain over stock on a stock engin ect and kind of in the 1/4 times of the standard plastic rockets i see run and that i think would be at power settings im at now
LOL must rember it is not essential to ajust my chrome wing mirrors on start line
And forget all the messing about i do with my bike , service items and stuff i just add cause i wanted too
What did i fit
Won kit , fuel Tap , mini max , dyna coils and leads and im still under the cost of a pucker ported and flowed head with labour set up ect and they probly would have had fuel tap and coils anyway
You have to be impressed with this nitrous
Time to starts saving up for my nitrous shifter :-) _________________ XXDRAC™ WON 75 kit :-) 10.94 @ 132mph on an XJR1300 :-)

Unless i can find a easy way to adjust timing as my bike is a road bike as well and altho base plate mod easy enought not realy practical , i may go for the dyna 2000 just for convenience
But i so feking hate electrics i do hope they easy to fit and set up
Bike electrics now getting messy will need to have a serious rethink on all these power supply take offs i have a spare fuse box for bike just 3 fues so i may add that to tidey things up
but so long as bike all oki now on 75 shot with 100 octain fuel (optimax and OBoster) it seams to be :-) will have to wait
Will need to get full details on nitrous shifter fitting electrics ect , as im torn between that and the tectroinc shifter that replace my shift rod on gear leaver as bike is starting to get a bit messy with bolton bits
Still keeps me busy
And soon be Xmas

yep decided on Dyna 2000 , read up a bit and seams i can set retard i want and link it to the Fire/horn button via switch earth wire so retard will only kick in with Nos
will add fuel pump when thats fitted , new clutch plates and rejet nitrous to 125bhp

Nicely detailed description - photos coming soon?
Do you tune and balance the carbs yourself? |

Mike yes only thing my bike has ever been to shop for is a dyno power runs and even parts i need made are to my specs for my use of bike , not just about big BHP read outs
carbs are a pain , i have gauges ect but usally use ears feel of bike and nose at zorst lol
Its not tuned or set up to be either a drag bike , road racer or custom tarts ride but a mix tailored to my use of bike , but the balance between all of the uses mean you have to compremise in some areas
Like easy for me to add 10bhp of gass with an acro and rejet and reprofile needles ect , but move my power curve away from where i want it and kills look of bike _________________ XXDRAC™ WON 75 kit :-) 10.94 @ 132mph on an XJR1300 :-) |

| Looks good to me - I was going to ask if a steering damper was needed as you didn't last that mod. Never seen one bolted to a single fork though but then I haven't been riding for nearly half a decade. Am I right in noting you have seperate gas and fuel injectors instead of the crossfires? What are they? |

steering damper is needed on my bike due to change in profile of front tyre and rake makes it a bit skitty on bends, rake altered when i fitted usd as i lowered bike 30mm , turns in a bit quicker and lower front shift my weight over front wheel which help a tad from lights
as for injectors yes LOL you car drivers dont know how easy you have it :-) but now i have split the dist block and have 1 for fuel and one for nitrous install is a lot better but untill i can get another set of inlet rubbers i can do install as i now wish but way it is now is not to far off a good install i think _________________ XXDRAC™ WON 75 kit :-) 10.94 @ 132mph on an XJR1300 :-) |
